Parish Hospital is the Medical Center of Baton Rouge.
Baton Rouge General is 448-bed community hospital located within the parishes.
This hospital is the only not-for-profit, community-owned, full service hospital
in Baton Rouge. This hospital has been serving the community for more than 100
years and is form by more than 2,000 people. Baton Rouge General has been named
the named Louisiana's Hospital of the Year for nurse excellence by the Louisiana
State Nurses Association for four years.
Because heart disease is
the leading cause of death in Louisiana, the General has built an outstanding
cardiology center. In fact, our hospital was rated best in Baton Rouge for Cardiology.
The Burn Center treats approximately 250 inpatients and 300 outpatients in an
average year. Baton Rouge General is also the leader in cardiovascular care
since 1958.
